Backend Java Developer

About the role

Join a team that is rebuilding a global commerce platform using Java. You will develop scalable micro‑services, integrate marketplace solutions and deliver cloud‑native, event‑driven applications that keep product, stock and pricing data in sync across multiple sales channels.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to the redesign and modernization of a core platform with Java Spring Boot.
• Design, develop and optimise integrations with external commerce and marketplace APIs.
• Build and maintain scalable micro‑services in a cloud‑native, event‑driven architecture.
• Implement solutions for complex product catalogue publication and real‑time stock/pricing synchronisation.
• Support migration of legacy processes to modern platform services.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers and cross‑functional stakeholders.
• Drive technical improvements and participate in architectural decision‑making.

Required profile

• Strong commercial experience with Java and Spring Boot.
• Proven experience building micro‑services and distributed systems.
• Solid knowledge of PostgreSQL and caching technologies such as Redis.
• Understanding of event‑driven architecture patterns.
• Experience with Kubernetes and cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Proactive, autonomous and comfortable working in agile teams.
