About the role

We are seeking a motivated Band 5 Registered Nurse to join Dalrymple Ward at Galloway Community Hospital. The ward is a 26‑bed unit delivering rehabilitation, palliative, and older‑adult care in a supportive, multidisciplinary environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality, person‑centred nursing care to older adults, including rehabilitation and palliative patients.
• Collaborate closely with doctors, therapists, and support staff to deliver coordinated care.
• Support and motivate colleagues, contributing to a positive team culture.
• Adapt to service developments and participate in quality‑improvement initiatives.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to NHS policies.

Required profile

• Current registration as a Registered Nurse (NMC).
• Clinical experience in rehabilitation and/or elderly care.
• Ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Positive, proactive “can‑do” attitude.
