About the role

The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a passionate Band 5 Staff Nurse to join the Granard House 3 team, a 7‑bed private surgical ward for head and neck cancer patients. This role offers the chance to develop specialist surgical oncology skills in a supportive, specialist environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, document, deliver and evaluate evidence‑based nursing care for surgical patients.
• Provide peri‑operative and post‑operative care for patients with altered airways, including tracheostomies and laryngectomies.
• Manage enteral feeding, complex wound care and enhanced recovery pathways.
• Support acutely unwell surgical patients and contribute to shift management under the guidance of the Ward Sister/Charge Nurse.

• Commitment to delivering compassionate, patient‑centred care.
• Interest in developing specialist skills in surgical oncology.
