Band 5 Theatre Practitioner – Scrub/Recovery/Anaesthetic

About the role

We are seeking a Band 5 Theatre Practitioner to join a leading NHS Trust across multiple sites in West Sussex, including Brighton, Haywards Heath and Chichester. The role is agency‑temporary, offering flexible shifts in scrub, recovery and anaesthetic areas.

Key responsibilities

• Work within Scrub, Recovery, and/or Anaesthetic areas according to your competencies.
• Assist multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe surgical care.
• Prepare and maintain theatre equipment and clinical environments.
• Monitor patients throughout the peri‑operative pathway.
• Ensure compliance with infection prevention, patient safety and clinical governance standards.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation.

Required profile

• Active NMC or HCPC registration.
• Minimum six months NHS theatre experience within the last two years.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Up‑to‑date mandatory training and compliance.
• Willingness to disclose any DBS convictions.
