Band 6 CAMHS Mental Health Nurse – Tameside (Temporary)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Band 6 CAMHS Mental Health Nurse to join our multidisciplinary team in Tameside. This temporary position offers the chance to deliver high‑quality community mental health care to service users with complex needs.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a defined caseload of service users within the Tameside area.
• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and develop person‑centred care plans.
• Identify, assess and manage risks to ensure safety of service users and the public.
• Administer and monitor psychiatric medication.
• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, social workers, occupational therapists and other professionals.

Required profile

• Valid NMC registration as a Mental Health Nurse (RMN).
• Proven experience at Band 6 level in a community mental health setting.
• Strong clinical assessment ability and capacity to work autonomously.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for community visits.
• Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
