Band 6 Minor Injuries & Illness Unit Practitioner

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Band 6 Minor Injuries & Illness Unit (MIIU) Practitioner to join a busy NHS urgent‑care service in Moreton‑in‑Marsh. You will independently assess, treat and manage patients presenting with minor injuries and illnesses, delivering safe, evidence‑based care in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, triage and treat patients with minor injuries and illnesses.
• Perform wound assessment, treatment and dressing management.
• Undertake patient observations and recognise deteriorating patients.
• Administer appropriate pain relief within your scope of practice.
• Escalate and refer patients when required.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse or Allied Health Professional with current professional registration.
• Right to work in the UK and willingness to obtain an Enhanced DBS.
• Previous experience in a Minor Injuries & Illness Unit, Emergency Department or Primary Care setting.
• Compliance documentation available for immediate registration.

Required skills

• Manchester Triage Training.
• Wound care management.
• Patient observations.
• Pain relief administration.
