Band 6 Sexual Health Outreach Nurse

About the role

Join HCRG Care Group as a Band 6 Sexual Health Outreach Nurse and deliver essential sexual health and contraception services directly to communities in the East Midlands. You will work beyond traditional clinic walls, reaching underserved groups and helping to reduce health inequalities.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert, dual‑trained sexual health and contraception care in community settings.
• Lead outreach activities targeting marginalised and underserved populations.
• Identify unmet needs, design and implement targeted interventions.
• Collaborate with mental health services, homelessness teams, and voluntary organisations.
• Ensure seamless pathways between outreach and clinic services for complex cases.
• Contribute to service development, data‑driven planning and evaluation of outreach programmes.
• Support, mentor and train colleagues and student nurses.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse (NMC) with experience in sexual health or contraception.
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously in community settings.
• Excellent communication and partnership‑building skills.
• Full, clean driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Flexibility to work evenings and occasional weekends.
