Band 7 Family Nurse (Family Nurse Partnership)

About the role

The Band 7 Family Nurse will deliver the Family Nurse Partnership (FNP) intensive home‑visiting programme to vulnerable, hard‑to‑reach young women expecting their first child. This specialist position combines clinical practice with structured preventive support, offering extensive training to develop high‑level generalist and specialist skills.

Key responsibilities

• Provide intensive, preventive home visits and healthy‑child support to eligible families.
• Build therapeutic relationships and work intensively within complex family situations.
• Attend weekly supervision sessions and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team.
• Travel across localities as required to meet service needs.

Required profile

• Qualified Family Nurse or willingness to undertake specialist residential training.
• Registered Nurse on the NMC register.
• Minimum two years’ community experience with hard‑to‑reach families.
• Valid UK driver’s licence.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
