Band 7 Speech & Language Therapist – Twickenham (NHS)

About the role

We are looking for a Band 7 Speech and Language Therapist to lead SaLT provision across several sites of a specialist SEN school and trust in Twickenham. The role combines a reduced clinical caseload with strategic planning for an in‑house service expansion launching in January.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate speech and language therapy across multiple school sites.
• Plan and prepare the January expansion of SaLT services, including service structure, staffing and resources.
• Deliver a smaller caseload of specialist assessments and interventions, including dysphagia assessment.
• Produce clear, pupil‑centred reports for EHCP reviews and MDT planning.
• Collaborate with senior leadership, teachers, SENCOs and external professionals.
• Provide clinical supervision, guidance and training to SaLT staff and school teams.
• Maintain accurate records and adhere to safeguarding, health and safety policies.

Required profile

• Degree in Speech and Language Therapy and HCPC registration (essential).
• Dysphagia training (essential).
• Significant experience working with children and young people with SEND and complex communication needs.
• Experience in a senior or leadership capacity within a school or health setting.

What we offer
