About the role

As a Bank Care Assistant at a Barchester care home in East Hoathly, you will help residents enjoy each day by providing high‑quality personal care and companionship. The role is flexible, covering shifts when permanent staff are absent, and offers a varied, rewarding experience in a supportive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist residents with eating, drinking and personal hygiene according to individual care plans.
• Provide one‑to‑one time and emotional support, fostering a warm and safe atmosphere.
• Support daily living activities, including mobility, dressing and medication reminders.
• Maintain accurate records of care delivered and report any changes in residents’ condition.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure consistent, person‑centred care.

Required profile

• Previous experience caring for older adults in a residential setting.
• Positive, can‑do attitude and excellent communication skills.
• Empathy, warmth and a genuine passion for delivering high standards of care.
