Bank Catering Assistant

About the role

We are looking for a Bank Catering Assistant to join the kitchen team at Basingfield Court Residential Care Home in Basingstoke. This role offers flexible, on‑site work without late nights or split shifts, allowing you to support residents with nutritious, well‑presented meals.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the catering team with basic food preparation and meal service.
• Present and serve meals to a high standard for residents.
• Follow food hygiene and safety standards at all times.
• Maintain clean, safe, and welcoming kitchen and dining areas.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance residents' daily dining experience.

Required profile

• A caring, enthusiastic approach with a genuine interest in older people.
• Good teamwork skills and willingness to support colleagues.
• Previous catering experience is desirable.

Required skills

• Understanding of safe food handling and cleaning practices.
• Food hygiene certificate or willingness to obtain one.
