Bank Chef (Flexible Part‑Time)

About the role

Join Barchester Healthcare as a Bank Chef on a flexible, part‑time basis. You will work in a supportive environment delivering hotel‑standard meals for residents while enjoying a better work‑life balance.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Head Chef in creating nutritious, seasonal menus tailored to resident preferences.
• Prepare and cook high‑quality dishes following HACCP standards.
• Manage kitchen operations in the Head Chef’s absence, including stock control and budgeting.
• Conduct regular audits and maintain hygiene records.
• Support and motivate the kitchen team to ensure a warm, efficient service.

Required profile

• Qualified chef with City & Guilds, NVQ, SVQ or equivalent.
• Passionate about fresh, seasonal food and resident wellbeing.
• Good understanding of nutrition and HACCP principles.
• Ability to work flexibly across different sites.
