Bank Chef Manager – Culinary Lead for Care Home

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Bank Chef Manager to lead the kitchen team at Blackwood House, a Sanctuary Care home in Camborne. This hands‑on role combines culinary excellence with a focus on balanced working hours, serving older residents with nutritious, restaurant‑quality meals.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day kitchen operations and support an Assistant Chef and catering assistants.
• Prepare and cook meals that meet individual dietary requirements for older people.
• Manage stock, waste, and budgeting while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and compliance checks.
• Recruit, train, and develop the catering team.

Required profile

• Proven experience catering to the dietary needs of older adults.
• A valid food hygiene certificate.
• Friendly, approachable nature with a passion for working with people.
• Confidence in leading and supporting a small team.
