Bank Chef – Residential Care

About the role

We are looking for a qualified chef to join our residential care facilities in Hamworthy, delivering fresh, seasonal meals for our residents. This part‑time, flexible role offers a balanced work‑life schedule while maintaining hotel‑standard quality.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Head Chef in creating nutritious, flavourful menus tailored to residents' needs.
• Manage the kitchen in the Head Chef’s absence, ensuring smooth operations.
• Prepare fresh produce and deliver high‑quality, wholesome dishes.
• Maintain a warm, efficient, and enjoyable environment for staff and residents.
• Work within budgetary constraints and conduct regular audits.
• Control stock levels and manage inventory.
• Help lead, motivate, and develop the kitchen team.

Required profile

• Personable and warm approach with genuine interest in residents’ wellbeing.
• City & Guilds, NVQ, SVQ or equivalent culinary qualification.
• Experience in leading and inspiring a kitchen team.
• Good understanding of nutrition and fresh seasonal food.
• Strong knowledge of HACCP principles.
