Bank Housekeeper – Flexible Shifts

About the role

The Avalon Centre is seeking a Bank Housekeeper to join its staff bank, providing flexible, shift‑based cleaning support for a specialist neurological rehabilitation service. You will help maintain a safe, clean environment for patients with long‑term neurological conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Clean all areas of the centre, including wards, bedrooms, offices, and visitor spaces.
• Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure spotless facilities.
• Uphold hospital security standards by following relevant policies and procedures.
• Greet visitors professionally and maintain good relationships with staff, patients, and visitors.
• Perform any additional tasks appropriate to the role and attend mandatory training.

Required profile

• Previous experience cleaning in a similar healthcare or institutional environment.
• Enjoy cleaning and take pride in delivering high‑quality results.
• Ability to prioritise duties effectively and resolve problems efficiently.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
