About the role

This casual, part‑time position provides flexible cover for kitchen duties in a Barchester care home. You will help deliver nutritious, high‑quality meals that support residents' wellbeing and enhance their daily experience.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to dietary requirements and care home standards.
• Provide cover for planned or unplanned staff absences, ensuring uninterrupted service.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised kitchen environment.
• Assist with setting up dining areas and serving meals to residents.
• Support colleagues by sharing knowledge and helping during busy periods.

Required profile

• Reliable, considerate and caring attitude.
• Flexibility to work varied hours and days as needed.
• Experience in a commercial kitchen or care‑home setting is advantageous but not mandatory.
