About the role

This is a casual, part‑time role offering flexible working. As a Bank Kitchen Assistant at a Barchester care home, you will help provide first‑class food and hospitality that support the wellbeing of our residents.

Key responsibilities

• Provide cover for planned or unplanned staff absences, ensuring the kitchen operates smoothly at all times.
• Prepare and cook meals according to dietary requirements, creating a fulfilling dining experience for every resident.
• Support the kitchen team by maintaining cleanliness, organising stock and assisting with food service to uphold high standards of hospitality.

Required profile

• Reliable, considerate and caring attitude with a genuine interest in resident wellbeing.
• Flexible availability to work varying shifts, including covering short‑notice gaps.
• No formal qualifications required; previous experience in a commercial kitchen or care setting is advantageous.
