About the role
This casual, part‑time bank position supports the laundry service in a Barchester care home. You will help ensure residents have clean clothing and bedding, contributing to a comfortable and safe environment.
Key responsibilities
- Sort, wash, dry and iron residents' clothing and bedding.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the laundry area.
- Ensure all items meet hygiene standards before they are returned to residents.
- Report any equipment faults or supply shortages to the supervisor.
- Assist with stock control of laundry supplies.

- Reliable and punctual with a flexible availability to cover shifts.
- Personable approach and a commitment to high‑quality service.
- Good practical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
