Bank Nurse - Derby

About the role

IQVIA is looking for a confident and compassionate Bank Research Nurse in Derby to support a patient living with Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) who is taking part in a clinical trial. The pattern is bank/ad hoc, with about one patient visit per month, so it suits an experienced registered nurse seeking occasional, flexible work alongside other commitments.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out urinalysis during patient visits
• Record and monitor vital signs
• Perform phlebotomy and collect blood samples
• Administer investigational products and infusions
• Provide professional, patient-centred nursing support
• Complete required documentation accurately and on time

Required profile

• Nursing degree or equivalent qualification
• Current NMC registration and PIN
• Ideally paediatric experience
• Ability to work independently and autonomously
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Professional, compassionate and patient-focused approach
• Flexibility to attend a patient visit in the Sheffield area about once per month; a current DBS is an advantage

Required skills

• Strong phlebotomy skills
• Experience administering IV infusions
• Experience with medication or investigational product administration
• Confidence carrying out vital signs and routine clinical observations
