Bank Registered Mental Health / Learning Disability Nurse (RMN/RNLD)

About the role

This is a casual, part‑time bank position offering flexible working within an independent mental health hospital. You will join a multi‑disciplinary team to deliver compassionate, high‑quality nursing care to patients with complex and challenging behaviours, always respecting dignity and promoting wellbeing.

Key responsibilities

• Provide and supervise direct nursing care to mental health and learning disability patients.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive care plans and conduct risk assessments.
• Cover staffing gaps such as annual leave or sick leave, with hours and days varying as needed.
• Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure coordinated, patient‑centred care.

Required profile

• Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
• Up‑to‑date knowledge of clinical practices for mental health and learning disability nursing.
• Strong understanding of Care Quality Commission (CQC) requirements and frameworks.
• Proactive, dedicated, and compassionate attitude with experience in team environments.
