Bank Support Worker

About the role

We are looking for a compassionate Support Worker to join our team at The Lodge, a residential care home in Langport, South Somerset. You will provide person‑centred care to adults with complex physical and mental health needs, helping them maintain independence and dignity.

Key responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily routines, including personal care, mobility and mealtimes.
• Follow individual care plans and support structured routines.
• Promote a safe, calm and supportive environment.
• Build positive relationships with residents and work collaboratively with the wider care team.
• Respond sensitively to changing needs and contribute to a stable atmosphere.

Required profile

• A kind, patient and compassionate approach.
• Willingness to learn and develop within a specialist care setting.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable and professional attitude.
• Previous care experience or a relevant qualification is beneficial but not essential.
