Banking Solicitor (1-2 PQE)

About the role

We are seeking a Banking Solicitor with 1–2 years post‑qualification experience to join our top‑100 UK law firm in London. You will work alongside partners and senior lawyers on a variety of banking and finance transactions, receiving mentoring and clear career progression.

Key responsibilities

• Advise clients on a broad range of banking and finance transactions across multiple sectors.
• Manage transactional matters from instruction through to completion, including conditions precedent, signing and completion processes.
• Supervise trainees and paralegals, providing guidance and support.
• Contribute to business development initiatives and the growth of the team.
• Maintain strong client relationships and deliver commercially focused advice.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor with 1–2 years PQE.
• Strong grounding in general banking and finance matters gained in private practice.
• Excellent technical ability, strong organisational skills and a commercially focused approach.
• Confident communicator able to manage transactions efficiently and build client relationships.
• Exposure to real estate finance, development finance, health and social care finance or cross‑border transactions is advantageous.
