Barista – Coffee Specialist

About the role

Join Costa Coffee in Southport as a Barista, where you’ll craft high‑quality coffee drinks while creating a welcoming atmosphere for every customer. This full‑time position runs from opening to close, offering a fast‑paced environment with comprehensive training.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and serve espresso‑based beverages and other menu items quickly and accurately.
• Engage with customers, remembering regulars by name and ensuring a friendly experience.
• Maintain store cleanliness, health and safety standards, and organise workstations.
• Learn and promote Costa’s full product range, including food and bottled drinks.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve daily sales and service targets.

Required profile

• Positive, can‑do attitude with strong communication skills.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and multitask.
• Passion for coffee and delivering excellent customer service.
• Reliability, punctuality and a team‑oriented mindset.

Required skills

• Operating espresso machines and coffee brewing equipment.
• Basic cash handling and point‑of‑sale system use.
