Barista – Full‑time coffee specialist

About the role

Join Sim Trava’s Costa Coffee store in Sunderland as a Barista, where you’ll craft great coffee while building relationships with regular customers. The role is fast‑paced from opening to closing, but you’ll receive thorough training to master every aspect of coffee preparation and service.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and serve coffee and other beverages quickly and accurately.
• Engage customers by name, delivering friendly service that encourages repeat visits.
• Learn and promote the full range of Costa products beyond coffee.
• Maintain health, safety and cleanliness standards throughout the store.
• Collaborate with teammates to create a fun, welcoming atmosphere.

Required profile

• Passion for coffee and for interacting with people.
• Positive, can‑do attitude with plenty of personality.
• Ability to deliver excellence under pressure.
• Strong communication skills for daily customer conversations.
• Hard‑working, multi‑tasking mindset.
