Behaviour & Inclusion Support Worker – Leeds

About the role

We are seeking a calm, steady presence to support young people in a specialist setting in North Wakefield, East Leeds. You will help KS3 and KS4 students settle into a new environment, providing one‑to‑one and small‑group support.

Key responsibilities

• Support KS3 and KS4 students as they transition into a new school setting.
• Work one‑to‑one or with small, close‑knit groups to provide tailored assistance.
• Help young people who communicate differently or need clear structure feel seen and understood.
• Maintain a calm demeanor during high‑emotion situations, offering consistent adult presence.

Required profile

• Ability to stay calm when situations escalate and not take behaviour personally.
• Understanding that behaviour is a form of communication.
• Commitment to giving every young person a fresh start.
• Consistent, warm, and clear boundaries.
