About the role
The Behaviour Mentor will work one‑to‑one with a young person aged 11‑16 who has special educational needs (SEN). Based in Greenford, the role runs from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, providing consistent support across school, community settings and the child’s home.
Key responsibilities
- Build trust and establish positive routines with the assigned child.
- Support emotional regulation and manage challenging behaviours.
- Encourage engagement in education and personal development activities.
- Act as a positive role model and promote constructive social interactions.
- Work collaboratively with schools, youth centres, libraries and the child’s family.
Required profile
- Patient, resilient and proactive.
- Passionate about supporting young people with SEN.
- Comfortable working across varied settings, including the child’s home.
- Committed to delivering long‑term impact and development.
Required skills
