Behaviour Mentor – Part‑time (20 hrs/week)

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join our team in Wythenshawe from September. This part‑time position (approximately 20 hours per week) supports pupils who need additional behavioural, emotional, and learning assistance, helping them engage positively with their education.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support to children with additional needs.
• Collaborate with teachers and support staff to develop and implement behaviour strategies.
• Encourage positive engagement with classroom activities and extracurricular programmes.
• Monitor progress and report observations to senior staff.

Required profile

• At least 6 months of experience working with children in the UK.
• Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) is essential.
• Previous roles such as Behaviour Mentor, Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, Youth Worker or similar are desirable.
• Strong communication and relationship‑building abilities.
• Patient, resilient and proactive attitude towards behavioural and emotional challenges.
