Behaviour Mentor – Part‑time Support for SEN Children

About the role
We are seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join our team in Oldham from September. This part‑time position (approximately 20 hours per week) offers flexible mornings or afternoons, allowing you to support children with additional behavioural, emotional, and learning needs while helping them engage positively with their education.
Key responsibilities
- Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support to pupils requiring additional behavioural and emotional assistance.
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to develop and implement tailored behaviour plans.
- Encourage positive engagement with learning activities and promote social inclusion.
- Monitor progress and report observations to senior staff.
Required profile
- Minimum 6 months experience working with children in the UK.
- Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) is essential.
- Previous roles such as Behaviour Mentor, Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, Youth Worker or similar are desirable.
- Strong communication and relationship‑building abilities.
- Patient, resilient, proactive attitude towards behavioural and emotional challenges.
- Genuine passion for helping children reach their full potential.
