Behaviour Mentor – Part‑time Support for SEN Pupils

About the role
We are seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join our team in Salford from September. This part‑time position (≈20 hours per week) offers flexible mornings or afternoons between 9:00 am and 3:00 pm, supporting pupils who need additional behavioural, emotional and learning assistance.
Key responsibilities
- Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support for children with special educational needs (SEN) to improve behaviour and engagement.
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to develop and implement personalised strategies.
- Encourage positive relationships and foster a safe, inclusive learning environment.
- Monitor progress and report observations to relevant professionals.
Required profile
- At least 6 months experience working with children in the UK.
- Experience supporting pupils with SEN is essential; previous roles such as Behaviour Mentor, Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, Youth Worker or Support Worker are desirable.
- Excellent communication and relationship‑building abilities.
- Patient, resilient, proactive attitude and a genuine passion for helping children reach their potential.
- Right to work in the UK and willingness to obtain an enhanced DBS check.
- Two professional references from child‑related positions.
