Behaviour Mentor – Primary School (Haringey)

About the role

Are you confident, resilient and passionate about supporting children who may display challenging behaviour? Educo Recruitment is working with a welcoming primary school in Haringey that is looking for a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join their team from September. You will work closely with teachers, SENCOs and pastoral staff to support pupils with SEMH, ADHD, ASD and challenging behaviour.

Key responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small‑group support to pupils with behavioural and emotional needs
• Support children with SEMH, ADHD, ASD and challenging behaviour
• Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils
• Use positive behaviour management and de‑escalation strategies
• Help pupils regulate their emotions and remain engaged in learning
• Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and pastoral staff
• Act as a positive role model and help pupils develop confidence and resilience

Required profile

• Experience in behaviour mentoring, pastoral support, SEN/SEMH, youth work, sports coaching, teaching assistant roles, PRUs or alternative provisions, support or care work
• Confident, patient, reliable and able to build strong relationships with children who may find school challenging
