About the role
The Behaviour Mentor position is based in a supportive SEND/PRU primary school in Dagenham. You will work directly with pupils who have Autism, SEMH, ADHD, severe learning difficulties and other disabilities, helping them engage in lessons and achieve their potential.
Key responsibilities
- Provide one‑to‑one or small‑group support to pupils.
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to minimise classroom disruption.
- Deliver feedback to teachers and parents on pupil progress.
- Assist pupils with a range of behavioural and emotional needs.
Required profile
- Outgoing, enthusiastic and passionate about helping children.
- Ability to think quickly and adapt to a dynamic special‑school environment.
- Strong relationship‑building skills with pupils.
Required skills
- Experience or training in supporting children with Autism, SEMH, ADHD or learning disabilities.
