Behaviour Mentor – Primary School (Lambeth)

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join a vibrant primary school in Lambeth, just a short walk from Streatham Common Station. You will work directly with pupils who need extra support to manage their behaviour and engage positively with learning.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support for students with behavioural needs.
• Collaborate with teachers and the SENCO to design and implement behaviour‑intervention strategies.
• Help pupils develop social, emotional and self‑regulation skills.
• Contribute to a positive, structured learning environment.
• Act as a role model, encouraging resilient and positive choices.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Behaviour Mentor, Teaching Assistant or in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of behaviour‑management techniques.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
• Proactive, patient and empathetic approach.
• Willingness to obtain an Enhanced DBS check.
