Behaviour Mentor – Primary School Support (London)

About the role
Long Term Futures is partnering with an inclusive primary school in Haringey, North London to recruit a Behaviour Mentor. You will work within the Additionally Resourced Base, providing targeted support to pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder, SEMH, ADHD and other complex behavioural needs.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver 1:1 and small‑group behaviour support in the Additionally Resourced Base.
- Use positive behaviour management strategies to promote engagement and emotional regulation.
- Assist pupils with transitions, routines and social interaction.
- Collaborate closely with the class teacher, SENCO and multidisciplinary team.
- Create a calm, consistent and nurturing learning environment.
- Support pupils in achieving academic and personal development targets.
Required profile
- Experience supporting children with challenging behaviour or additional needs.
- Calm, resilient and confident in managing behaviour positively.
- Ability to build strong, trusting relationships with pupils.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Passion for helping children with SEND reach their potential.
Required skills
What we offer
- £110 – £125 per day, depending on experience.
- September start, full‑time, long‑term placement.
