About the role
Prospero Teaching is looking for a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join a mainstream secondary school in Redbridge. This full‑time position supports a student with complex emotional and academic needs throughout the school day. The role is ideal for candidates with experience in SEN, behaviour support, or support work who want to move into education.
Key responsibilities
- Provide one‑to‑one support for a student with complex emotional and academic needs.
- Manage and de‑escalate challenging behaviour.
- Supervise the student across all school activities and transitions.
- Help create and maintain a safe, positive learning environment.
Required profile
- Previous experience in SEN or behaviour support.
- Experience working with challenging behaviour.
- Team Teach training (desirable).
- Safeguarding training (desirable, can be provided).
- Right to work in the UK.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
- Two professional references.
