Behaviour Mentor – Secondary (Cover Supervisor)

About the role

Reed is seeking enthusiastic Behaviour Mentors to support secondary schools across Kent and Medway. This temporary, full‑time cover‑supervisor position offers flexible, on‑site work in a variety of school settings, allowing you to gain valuable classroom experience while helping maintain a positive learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver pre‑prepared lessons and maintain continuity of learning for assigned classes.
• Implement strong behaviour management strategies to support a safe and productive classroom.
• Provide day‑to‑day cover for absent teachers and assist with longer‑term staffing needs.
• Collaborate with school staff to ensure smooth transitions and uphold school policies.

Required profile

• Some experience working with young people in education or youth‑focused settings.
• Demonstrated confidence in managing classroom behaviour.
• Positive, reliable, and proactive attitude.

Required skills

• Behaviour management techniques.
• Ability to follow and deliver pre‑prepared lesson plans.
