Behaviour Mentor – Secondary School (Bromley)

About the role
We are seeking a resilient and proactive Behaviour Mentor to support pupils aged 11‑16 in a secondary school in Bromley. You will work closely with teaching, pastoral and SEND teams to deliver targeted 1:1 and small‑group interventions.
Key responsibilities
- Implement behaviour support plans and de‑escalation techniques.
- Provide 1:1 and small‑group support for pupils with behavioural or SEMH needs.
- Promote emotional regulation and engagement with learning.
- Act as a positive role model, encouraging attendance and resilience.
- Collaborate with staff to monitor progress and adjust interventions.
Required profile
- Previous experience supporting pupils with behavioural or emotional needs.
- Experience in a secondary school, PRU or alternative provision is desirable.
- Confident in behaviour management and de‑escalation strategies.
- Ability to build positive relationships with young people.
Required skills
- Behaviour management techniques.
- De‑escalation strategies.
- Knowledge of SEMH support.

- Competitive daily rate of £100‑£120, dependent on experience.
