About the role
We are seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to support students with emotional and behavioural needs in a specialist special‑needs school in Uxbridge.
Key responsibilities
- Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support to students with behavioural and emotional needs.
- Work closely with teachers and support staff to implement positive behaviour strategies.
- Develop and deliver tailored interventions to help students manage their emotions and behaviour effectively.
- Foster a supportive and nurturing environment, helping students build self‑confidence and social skills.
- Act as a positive role model, guiding students towards improved behaviour and engagement in learning.
Required profile
- Experience working with children or young people, preferably in an SEN or behavioural support role.
- Patience, empathy and a commitment to helping students overcome challenges.
- Strong communication and relationship‑building abilities.
- Confidence in implementing behaviour management techniques and de‑escalation strategies.
- Adaptable, proactive and able to work effectively within a team.
