About the role
We are seeking a proactive Behaviour Support Mentor to work one‑to‑one with pupils who need extra behavioural and emotional assistance. You will help young people feel safe, understood and motivated to engage with learning in a school setting.
Key responsibilities
- Provide individual support to pupils, addressing behavioural and emotional needs.
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to implement tailored behaviour strategies.
- Lead small‑group activities that promote positive interaction and learning.
- Assist pupils in accessing curriculum content and participating fully in lessons.
- Maintain a calm, patient presence while managing challenging situations.
Required profile
- Experience working with children or young people who have behavioural needs.
- Confidence in managing challenging behaviour.
- A calm, patient and resilient approach.
- Genuine desire to make a positive difference.
