About the role
We are seeking a Behaviour Support Worker to join a specialist school in Reading, supporting children aged 4‑16 with autism, ADHD and SEMH needs. This full‑time, onsite role offers a valuable stepping‑stone for graduates and professionals interested in mental health, education and youth support.
Key responsibilities
- Support children during lessons and unstructured times, promoting emotional regulation.
- Implement and monitor individual behaviour plans.
- Manage challenging behaviours in a consistent, supportive manner.
- Build strong, trusting relationships with students and staff.
- Collaborate with the pastoral and therapeutic team.
Required profile
- Resilient, patient and proactive attitude.
- Genuine desire to support children with additional needs.
- Suitable for graduates in psychology, criminology, social work, counselling or those with relevant experience.

- Competitive daily rate of £90‑£105.
- Full‑time schedule: Monday‑Friday, 8:30 am‑3:30 pm.
