About the role
We are seeking a resilient and proactive Behaviour Support Worker to provide one‑to‑one and group support for pupils aged 11‑16 in a secondary school in Tower Hamlets, London. The role works closely with teachers, pastoral staff and the SEND department to promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver 1:1 mentoring and support during lessons and social times.
- Implement and monitor individual behaviour support plans.
- Use de‑escalation techniques to manage challenging situations.
- Promote emotional regulation and engagement with learning.
- Collaborate with teaching and pastoral teams to ensure a safe, structured environment.
Required profile
- Previous experience supporting pupils with behavioural or SEMH needs.
- Experience in a school, PRU or alternative provision is desirable.
- Confident in behaviour management and de‑escalation strategies.
- Ability to build positive relationships with young people.
