Bid Manager

About the role

BAM UK & Ireland is seeking a Bid Manager to lead the preparation and submission of high‑quality tenders for its Facilities Management business. The role combines office‑based work with flexible home‑based days and supports the Director of Business Development and Solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end bid processes for soft, hard and integrated FM contracts.
• Develop and manage bid timelines, ensuring internal stakeholders meet deadlines.
• Coordinate the creation of proposals that meet client specifications, legal requirements and company standards.
• Collaborate with Operations, Commercial, Finance, Legal and HR to gather necessary information.
• Write clear, persuasive technical and commercial sections, including pricing schedules.
• Customize proposals to reflect client needs and BAM FM’s value proposition.
• Identify, assess and mitigate bid‑related risks.
• Manage post‑submission activities such as client clarifications, presentations and negotiations.
• Stay up‑to‑date with facilities management trends and leverage Microsoft 365 for document control.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing complex bids or tenders, preferably in facilities management or construction.
• Strong stakeholder management and ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Excellent written communication and attention to detail.
• Ability to lead a team of bid managers and coordinate cross‑functional input.

• Microsoft 365 (document management, version control, collaboration)
