Bid Writer – Construction & Social Housing

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Bid Writer to join our construction and maintenance team in Chigwell. You will work closely with the Head of Bids and operational teams to produce high‑quality tender submissions for the social housing sector.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the end‑to‑end preparation and submission of tender responses.
• Develop clear, persuasive written content that meets client requirements.
• Collaborate with operations, commercial, compliance and business development teams.
• Lead tender launch meetings and coordinate contributions to meet deadlines.
• Identify and communicate win themes throughout bids.
• Review client requirements, assess risks and support solution development.
• Ensure compliance with procurement rules, industry standards and client expectations.
• Support post‑tender interviews, presentations and feedback sessions.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Bid Writer or Bid Manager in construction, housing maintenance or refurbishment.
• Good understanding of the social housing sector and public‑sector procurement.
• Excellent written communication with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work with stakeholders at all levels.
• Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
