Bid Writer – Rail Infrastructure Projects

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Bid Writer to join a well‑established provider of track, civil engineering, construction and maintenance services for the rail industry. You will be responsible for turning complex tender information into clear, compelling proposals that meet all client requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse Invitations to Tender (ITT) and Selection/Pre‑Qualification Questionnaires (SQ/PQQ) to fully understand client needs.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers and subject‑matter experts to translate technical data into persuasive proposal content.
• Ensure every safety regulation, environmental standard and legal requirement is addressed and documented.
• Work closely with procurement and cost teams to align estimates with project deliverables.

Required profile

• Proven experience reading and interpreting complex tender documents.
• Ability to work directly with technical teams and convey engineering concepts in clear language.
• Strong attention to compliance with safety, environmental and legal standards.
• Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple bid packages simultaneously.
