Billing Specialist

About the role

Join a respected Finance Operations team in Manchester as a Billing Specialist. You will manage the end‑to‑end billing process while gaining exposure to credit control, cashiering, accounts payable and finance transformation within a collaborative, inclusive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and issue accurate client invoices in various formats (standard, e‑bills, composite, multi‑payor).
• Process high volumes of billing transactions efficiently and meet agreed deadlines.
• Identify and resolve billing issues, ensuring data accuracy.
• Produce financial reports related to billing activity.
• Collaborate with legal, finance and other departments to support smooth billing operations.
• Contribute to process improvements through technology and automation.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a billing or invoicing role.
• Strong attention to detail and data literacy.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to work proactively and adapt to changing priorities.
• Experience in professional services or shared services environments is advantageous.
