BIM Manager – Architectural Focus

About the role

We are seeking an experienced BIM Manager with an architectural bias to lead BIM and information management across a multidisciplinary design and engineering business operating in the life‑sciences sector. The role combines strategic governance with hands‑on delivery, allowing you to shape standards while supporting live projects.

Key responsibilities

• Own BIM and information‑management practices across the business.
• Develop and continuously improve BIM governance, processes, standards and workflows.
• Ensure consistent, proportionate application of BIM on all projects.
• Support design and installation teams with practical BIM guidance.
• Advance the organisation’s information‑management approach in line with ISO 19650.
• Monitor developments in the ISO 19650 suite and contribute to the BIM accreditation roadmap.
• Promote best practice and consistency across multidisciplinary teams.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, systems and information workflows.

Required profile

• Minimum three years’ experience in a multidisciplinary design practice.
• Strong architectural background and understanding of design processes.
• Proven ability to translate BIM standards into practical, workable processes.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Solution‑focused approach with the ability to influence positive change.

Required skills

• ISO 19650 standards and information‑management principles.
• Hands‑on BIM implementation on live projects.
