Binders Technician – Marine

About the role

The Binders Technician will join the Marine team of a global Lloyd's broker, providing specialist client‑service support for marine binding authority business. Based in London, you will work closely with underwriters, brokers and clients to ensure smooth processing of premiums, claims and account administration.

Key responsibilities

• Review and process new and existing marine binders, including premium and claims bordereaux.
• Handle queries related to coverage, accounting and tax structures, ensuring timely resolution.
• Liaise extensively with clients, underwriters and internal teams to maintain strong relationships.
• Support broker functions such as debroking, risk sign‑down and preparation of account statistics.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to client retention initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Marine Technician handling binding authorities.
• Solid understanding of tax handling within marine accounts.
• Demonstrated ability to manage queries using the velonetic system.
• Strong negotiation, persuasion and time‑management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines with high quality.
