BMS Project Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a BMS Project Engineer to lead Building Management System projects from design through to commissioning and handover. The role is site‑based in Kent with occasional local office attendance, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Manage BMS projects end‑to‑end, covering design, procurement, installation support, commissioning and handover.
• Produce technical deliverables such as panel drawings, valve schedules, DDC strategy documents and graphics details.
• Coordinate electricians and subcontractors to guarantee safe, compliant installation and commissioning.
• Maintain RAMS documentation and promote strong site safety standards throughout the project lifecycle.
• Carry out commissioning activities including wiring checks, protective device verification, functional testing, and controller/graphics validation.
• Record progress and risks in a cloud construction management platform (e.g., Procore) and flag any programme issues.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year post‑apprenticeship experience in BMS or related electrical projects.
• Strong communication, organisational and IT skills with a quality‑first approach.
• Relevant qualifications such as BCIA Technical Certificate, HND/HNC/ONC, CITB SSSTS or a recent safe isolation course are desirable.
