Bookkeeper (22.5‑30 hrs/week) – Office based

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to join our friendly, office‑based team in Alresford. You will support the bookkeeping manager and handle day‑to‑day accounting tasks for a varied client base.

Key responsibilities

• Process invoices, day‑to‑day transactions and complete bank reconciliations.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns, CIS returns and quarterly MTD submissions.
• Maintain up‑to‑date client bookkeeping, including profit & loss, trial balance and balance sheet reports.
• Assist with month‑end and year‑end work and respond to client queries.

Required profile

• Confident in bookkeeping with ability to work independently.
• Good understanding of profit & loss, trial balance and balance sheet reports.
• Experience preparing VAT returns and dealing with client queries.
• Organised, reliable and detail‑oriented.
