Bookkeeper – 35-40k Hybrid (Farnborough)

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Bookkeeper to join our growing consultancy in Farnborough. You will maintain accurate financial records, support statutory filings and ensure compliance with accounting standards in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of bookkeeping, including accounts payable and receivable.
• Perform low‑pressure credit control and bank reconciliations.
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
• Assist with VAT returns and other statutory filings.
• Prepare periodic financial reports.
• Liaise with clients and suppliers to resolve financial queries.
• Support the finance team with ad‑hoc tasks and projects.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar all‑round accounting role.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, Xero) and MS Office.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Good communication skills and a team‑player attitude.
• Relevant accounting or finance qualifications (e.g., AAT) are beneficial.
