Bookkeeper – Central London – Competitive Salary

About the role

Join a well‑established accountancy practice in Central London as a Bookkeeper. You will manage day‑to‑day bookkeeping for a diverse client portfolio, ensuring accurate and timely financial records.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate bookkeeping records for multiple clients.
• Process purchase and sales invoices, receipts and payments.
• Perform bank and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable as required.
• Assist with the preparation of management accounts.
• Liaise directly with clients to resolve queries and obtain financial information.
• Support accountants with year‑end accounts preparation and ensure compliance with HMRC requirements.

Required profile

• Previous bookkeeping experience within an accountancy practice.
• Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles and VAT.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Client‑focused communication abilities.
• AAT qualification or equivalent experience (desirable).
